Hi there. I’m Joyce, I’m from the Philippines, and I like to read and write and travel, and read and write about where I travel — not that I travel very much. I’ve been a born again believer in Jesus Christ since I was 11 years old. This trip was my first time out of the country, and how great a blessing it was to fly out of it and land in no other place than Israel.
In this blog I chronicle (recall, more like) the experiences I had, the food I ate, and the things I did during the 9 days I spent with a group from our church on a spiritual trip to the Holy Land.
Now enough about me.
When our church pastor first mentioned this trip, I thought it was only going to be a dream for me — one of the many ones I was well prepared not to reach. First of all, I didn’t have the money for it. And secondly, well, that was really the only reason.
But in the succeeding days God worked His wonders such that I had more than enough funds to make it there and back, plus a budget to buy whatever I wanted to my heart’s content — not way too much; my heart is easily satisfied.
So then I told them, “Yes, I’ll go!” and nine months later I was out of my motherland and into the land of my faith.
What happens in Israel stays with you forever. And this blog is my own way of reliving those days and rekindling those experiences day after day after day.
It exists for the Lord, for myself, for those of you who’ve been there; for those of you who haven’t yet but want to; and for those of you who haven’t yet but can’t, for some reason.
I hope you enjoy reading as much as I do writing it.
